Post-COP28 Reality Check

One day after the conclusion of COP28 in Dubai, we remain stuck in a paradox: people, products & policies to address the climate crisis are accelerating while GHG emissions, social inequity, and environmental health continue to worsen. To resolve this paradox, we must reflect on our approach to the COP process, grassroots activism, ESG investing, biodiversity preservation, data measurement, and more.

I am asking you to participate in a short, anonymous survey to give your candid opinions about how policy, markets, and people can better align to realize a green breakthrough in the 2020s. Give your input by clicking here. The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

This effort expanded through support from the Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center this year, and is focused on addressing:

  • What is holding back the COP process from accelerating national emission reductions more rapidly?
  • How can investors and businesses be activated in new ways to transform how we think about realizing a green breakthrough?
  • Where can activism make the greatest difference and how can citizens be mobilized in new ways?
  • What are examples of green product breakthroughs and what can we learn from these developments?
